Présentation d'assemblages lithiques de Karain B attribués au Paléolithique supérieur et d'une industrie recueillie dans une grotte de la même région, Oküzin. Le comparaison des deux assemblages permet de noter une évolution technologique, Oküzin apparaissant plus récent que Karain B. Par ailleurs, les études de microfaune, les analyses malacologiques et palynologiques aident à reconstituer quel était, à Karain, le climat au Pléistocène récent. (revue)

Lithic assemblages found at Karain and attributed to the Upper Palaeolithic together with lithic artefacts collected from the nearby Oküzin Cave are presented here. The study of both assemblages evidences a technological evolution pointing to Oküzin being more recent. Moreover, microfaunal, malacological and palynological studies and analyses have helped reconstructing the climatic conditions prevailing at Karain B during the Upper Pleistocene sequence.
