The aim of the Corpus is to make accessible in a new edition all the essential texts dealing with the relations between the Egyptian priests and the Roman authorities. In detail, these are edicts, official regulations, registrations of priests' children, circumcision applications, tax receipts, lists of persons, temple inventories, invoices, purchases of priestly offices, official reports, complaints and petitions. Volume IV contains documents on the sacrifice of calves, the procurement of linen for the burial of sacred animals, and texts on conflicts within the clergy.
