Résumé en anglais
Notes bibliogr.
The article contains a translation, commentary and dating of two Parthian inscriptions made on silver goblets found in 1991 in the course of excavations of barrow No. 1 near Prokhorovka village (Orenburg region, the Southern Urals). Palaeographic analysis of the inscriptions permits to date them within the 2nd-1st centuries BC, since the silver vessels were used there for the second time as horse gear furnishings (phalaroi). The suggested dating adjusts the chronological position of this site usually regarded as standard for the detachment of Sarmatian culture of the 4th-3rd centuries BC.
