Instead of a monument or a scholarly theory, one single book is allowed here to be the subject of a detailed article: the new weighty publication of Bango's about Hispanic Christian architecture and art from the advanced period of Late Antiquity to the end of the Early Middle Ages. Thus, beyond the level of current criticism, there is an intention -using this case of a book which claims such an effort- to reflect and to call for reflection on both our responsibility to appreciate the monumental heritage properly and our duty to provide the public with adequate information.
