Notes bibliogr.
This essay analyses the relationship established by Armando Petrucci between palaeography and the global history of written culture, its closeness and differences with the ‘new bibliography’, the sociology of texts and the French history of the book, as founded by Lucien Febvre and Henri-Jean Martin. It also questions the importance given by Petrucci to the history of reading in the perspective of a history of writing, of writing and of writing.
